About me:
1. Oddy enough, I just noticed that I have a lot of decorative sculptures in my room. I count four dragons, three felines and three little rubber cheetahs. Oh, and a cow, but that was a gift.
2. In my book shelf I have a special section for Phantom of the Opera books, 15 in total. I also thought about collecting copies of Gaston Leroux's original in different languages that I bring from my travels, though I admit that this would not make much sense. At the moment I'm reading the third book in a series that tells Erik's story in great detail. Let me put it like this: Every book covers about 10 years of his life - isn't that detailed?
3. I seem to have a thing for insane men with masks who act beyond the law. Batman, Scarecrow, the Phantom of the Opera. Show me some series whose characters fit in this pattern and I'm quite certain I'll like it. By the way, perhaps I should have a look at V for Vendetta... Though, my knowledge of its plot is close to zero.
4. I prefer musicals to opera for a very specific reason: It annoys me when the same line of lyrics is sung over and over again. These are the musicals I've actually seen performed: Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz, and Hair. Still, I do admire the incredible range of operatic voices.
5. I took Latin as a major course in school, and I was quite good at it. I think of translating as a form of deciphering a message, and it's even better when said message is an interesting one such as a tale of an ancient myth.
6. I think a lot, and I daresay a bit too much. After every conversation that I had and that was important to me, I ponder it for hours or even days, trying to figure out if I said something that I could possibly regret in some way.
7. In my room there is a plant that was given to me by a friend as a gift for my birthday. Though I'm not too serious about it, I named it 'Myrte', after the ghost girl 'Moaning Myrtle' from Harry Potter (Myrte is part of the German name). It was a random choice, really.
8. I have a dislike for disco dance music typically dealing with half-naked women, partying, drinking and the like. The same goes for most rap songs, simply because I'm not a fan of spoken songs.
9. For only one week I used to be a fan of the Twilight books. During this week I read all four (who needs water and food?), had a weird dream about Edward, painted Carlisle (who was my favourite character from the series), considered going to the fantasy convention to meet his actor, and dropped it all after that week's end. All that happened a long time after the first hype, mind you. There was only the first movie by that time.
10. Sherlock played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Watch it, now! Seriously, the BBC makes excellent movies and series.
GriffinPhantom's question:
1. What is your FAVORITE thing to draw??
Dragons and more or less anthromorphic animals, because for me, as someone who made her first attempts at drawing when she was six years old and a Pokemon fan, they're easier to draw than humans. Practice is everything, folks! Furthermore, I like to draw and also write about slightly eerie stuff (such as Scarecrow from Batman), though I don't always succeed at making things as creepy as I originally intended.
2. What are you most afraid of?
That's be not being able to draw any more, and the unknown in general. We can't fight or react to what we don't see or expect. I guess that's not true for everything, but I can't think of anything better at the moment.
3. Frodo is to a unicorn as The Phantom of the Opera is to what?
Since I've never ever shown any interest in Lord of the Rings, I have absolutely no idea what to answer. Once I was being forced to watch all three movies in a row. Thank you, never again.
